Description
Echinacea Purpurea Root – Organic
(Echinacea purpurea)
Echinacea purpurea is the most widely cultivated and researched of the echinacea species, and its root has been a valued botanical in Western herbalism for well over a century. Native to the eastern and central United States, the purple coneflower was used by numerous Native American nations before becoming a staple of 19th-century American eclectic medicine and, later, one of the best-selling herbal botanicals in the world.
The root of E. purpurea is naturally rich in polysaccharides, alkylamides, glycoproteins, and caffeic acid derivatives — the characteristic active compounds of the echinacea genus. Our Echinacea Purpurea Root is Certified Organic and available in both Cut & Sifted and Powder forms.
