Description
Damiana Leaf
(Turnera diffusa)
Damiana is a small, aromatic shrub native to the subtropical regions of Mexico, Central America, and the Caribbean, where it grows wild in dry, rocky soils and has been used in traditional folk herbalism for centuries. Known colloquially as the “lover’s herb,” Turnera diffusa has a long and colorful history in Mexican and Central American herbal traditions, where it was prized as a botanical with warming, aromatic properties and used in traditional herbal preparations and liqueurs.
Damiana leaf has a pleasant, slightly bitter, aromatic flavor with earthy, herbaceous notes — making it a popular ingredient in herbal smoking blends, teas, and traditional liqueurs. Our Damiana Leaf is available in Cut & Sifted form.
