Description
Crampbark
(Viburnum opulus)
Crampbark is the dried bark of Viburnum opulus, a deciduous shrub native to Europe, northern Africa, and central Asia, where it grows in hedgerows, woodland edges, and riverbanks. Named for its long history of use in European and North American folk herbalism, crampbark has been a staple of traditional herbal practice for centuries, appearing in the pharmacopoeias of both European and Native American herbal traditions. It is one of the most well-known botanicals in Western herbalism and remains widely used by herbalists today.
At Glenbrook Farms, our Crampbark is available in both Cut & Sifted and Powder forms for use in teas, tinctures, and herbal formulations.
