Key Botanicals

• Neem Oil (Azadirachta indica) — cold-pressed from the seeds of the neem tree, native to the Indian subcontinent and one of the most widely used botanicals in Ayurvedic topical tradition. Neem oil has a characteristic strong, earthy, garlic-like aroma owing to its high content of azadirachtin, nimbin, nimbidin, gedunin, and fatty acids (oleic, stearic, palmitic, and linoleic). It has been used in topical preparations in South Asian herbal tradition for centuries.
• Rosemary (Salvia rosmarinus) — a classic Mediterranean aromatic herb rich in rosmarinic acid, carnosic acid, carnosol, ursolic acid, caffeic acid, and 1,8-cineole (eucalyptol). Both the dried herb and rosemary essential oil contribute a fresh, camphoraceous, herbaceous aroma.
• Pau d’Arco (Tabebuia impetiginosa) — the inner bark of a South American hardwood tree, traditionally used in Amazonian and Andean botanical practice; contains lapachol, beta-lapachone, and xyloidone
• Plantain Leaf (Plantago major) — a common garden botanical with a long history of topical use in European and North American herbal tradition; contains aucubin, allantoin, mucilage, and tannins — allantoin in particular is well known for its soothing quality on the skin
• Olive Oil (Olea europaea) — a deeply nourishing carrier oil rich in oleic acid, squalene, and polyphenols

How to Use
