Description

This is the story of Mullein.  Mullein has a very ancient history of use dating back to the first century. Turn of the century herbalist William Coles fed his cattle mullein to fight against cough.
Today's herbalist considers Mullein for coughs, sore throat, ear aches, and asthma.
It is useful as an expectorant to help bring up sticky phlegm, and also has a bactericidal activity and helps stop muscle spasms that trigger coughing.
Horses and dogs that have coughs can also take mullein safely.
Mullein compresses have been used to treat boils that appear on the horse's neck.
Humans can use mullein compresses for hemorrhoids because of it astringent tannins and anti-inflammatory properties.

Brew some mullein along with your coffee in the morning to help clear that morning congestion.
