Italian Seasoning — Hand Blended Herbs
A Glenbrook Farms Original Blend
There is no single “Italian seasoning” in Italy — walk into any kitchen from Tuscany to Sicily and you’ll find a cook reaching for individual herbs, pinching and blending by instinct and tradition. What we call Italian seasoning is an American pantry staple born from that same Mediterranean herb tradition, distilling the essential aromatics of Italian cooking into one versatile, ready-to-use blend. At Glenbrook Farms, we hand blend our Italian Seasoning from six premium herbs and aromatics, each selected for its role in the classic flavor profile of Italian-American cuisine.
Our blend combines oregano (the backbone — earthy, slightly bitter, and unmistakably Mediterranean), marjoram (sweeter and more delicate than oregano, adding floral depth), thyme (woodsy and savory, the quiet workhorse of the blend), rosemary (piney and resinous, with a bold, assertive character), basil (bright, sweet, and herbaceous — the soul of Italian cooking), and garlic chips (savory, pungent, and deeply aromatic). The result is a balanced, full-flavored blend that works across an enormous range of dishes — from a simple weeknight pasta sauce to a slow-roasted Sunday chicken. Available in convenient sizes for home cooks and in a generous 5 lb bulk size for restaurants, caterers, and serious home kitchens.
