A warm, earthy, naturally caffeine-free herbal blend built around rooibos and a classic quartet of root and flower botanicals — red clover, burdock root, dandelion root, and orange peel. • Rooibos (Aspalathus linearis) — a broom-like shrub of the family Fabaceae native exclusively to the Cederberg mountain region of the Western Cape, South Africa, where it grows in the fynbos biome at elevations of 450–1,500 meters. Rooibos — Afrikaans for “red bush” — is one of the world’s most distinctive herbal teas, naturally caffeine-free and very low in tannins compared to true tea (Camellia sinensis). The characteristic red color and sweet, slightly nutty, vanilla-like flavor develop during the fermentation (oxidation) process after harvesting. Rooibos contains a unique phytochemical profile including aspalathin (a dihydrochalcone flavonoid found almost exclusively in Aspalathus linearis), nothofagin, quercetin, luteolin, orientin, isoorientin, vitexin, isovitexin, chrysoeriol, rutin, ferulic acid, caffeic acid, vanillic acid, calcium, potassium, magnesium, manganese, zinc, iron, and fluoride. Rooibos has been consumed by the Khoisan people of the Western Cape for centuries and was introduced to commercial production in the early 20th century.

• Dandelion Root (Taraxacum officinale) — one of the most widespread and well-studied botanical roots in the world; contains taraxacin, taraxacerin, inulin (up to 40% of dry weight in autumn-harvested roots), beta-sitosterol, stigmasterol, luteolin, apigenin, caffeic acid, chlorogenic acid, potassium, calcium, iron, and vitamin C; when roasted, dandelion root develops a rich, coffee-like flavor and aroma — a classic caffeine-free coffee alternative
• Orange Peel (Citrus sinensis) — the dried outer peel of the sweet orange, rich in hesperidin, narirutin, tangeretin, nobiletin, limonene, linalool, myrcene, vitamin C, pectin, and flavonoids; contributes a bright, warm citrus note that lifts and balances the earthy depth of the root botanicals

How to Brew

Steep 1–2 teaspoons per 8 oz of water at 200–208°F for 5–7 minutes. The flavor is smooth, slightly sweet, and pleasantly earthy with a warm citrus finish from the orange peel — naturally sweet enough to enjoy without added sweetener, though a small amount of honey is a lovely pairing. For Children: A naturally caffeine-free, family-friendly blend — serve warm or lightly chilled. Iced: Brew double-strength, steep 7 minutes, strain, and pour over ice.
