Cream of Tartar
(Potassium Bitartrate)
Cream of tartar is one of baking’s most essential and versatile secret weapons — a naturally occurring byproduct of winemaking, formed as tartaric acid crystals deposit on the inside of wine barrels during fermentation. Chemically known as potassium bitartrate, this fine white powder has been a staple of professional and home kitchens for centuries, prized for the remarkable things it does to baked goods and confections.
Our Cream of Tartar is 100% pure, food grade potassium bitartrate — no additives, no fillers. Packaged in a generous 16 oz size, it’s perfect for avid bakers who go through it regularly.

Candy Making: Add a pinch to sugar syrups and candies to prevent crystallization and keep textures smooth. Whipped Cream: A small pinch helps stabilize whipped cream to hold its shape longer. Snickerdoodles: The classic ingredient that gives snickerdoodles their signature tangy flavor and chewy texture.
