INGREDIENTS: Sweet brown rice flour, cane sugar, brown rice flour, tapioca starch, arrowroot powder, rice syrup solids (rice syrup solids, rice protein, tocopherols), citrus fiber, cream of tartar, baking soda, salt and ground vanilla bean.
FREE FROM: Wheat, gluten, dairy, egg, peanuts, tree nuts, soy, fish, shellfish, sulfites, sesame and mustard.
These scones are amazing! Followed the directions as written. I added in some dried cranberries. Worked up beautifully and quickly. I used my large cookie scoop and made 10 large scones. I brushed them with a milk wash and dusted with caster sugar. Perfectly golden brown at 14 minutes. Heavenly aroma! Very little spreading on the cookie sheet. The crumb was exactly what you expect from a quality scone… and it didn’t crumble when broken in half. This is the kind of scone I expect from a bakery and I made it in my kitchen. Minimal time/minimal clean up. Next time, I’ll add lemon zest and some lemon juice. Then enjoy this scone delight with a steaming mug of Glenbrook Farms Rooibos tea that I add in some dried lemongrass. Thank you, Glenbrook Farms for offering a top notch gluten free scone mix.
