Violets and Strawberry Scones
Beautiful April Sunday Afternoon!  I had half of a notion to make some scones for my tea.  These were so good and very easy.  I love violets so I also add them to my creations when I can.
Blend together:

2 cups All-purpose flour

1 tbsp Baking Powder

4 tbsp Granulated Sugar

1/2 teaspoon of salt

Cut into the flour mixture 

6 Tablespoons of butter ( I use salted)

Blend until it looks like crumbles

Add to the dry 

3/4 cups of buttermilk or a little more if you need it

1/2 teaspoon of vanilla

1 cup of diced fresh strawberries

Stir into a ball and pat out on a well-floured surface, into a rectangle.

Cut your rectangle into 4-5 squares and then diagonally cut your squares into perfect triangles

Lay on a prepared greased cookie sheet and bake in a preheated 425-degree oven for 16-17 minutes.

Drizzle a simple glaze on the cooled scone.
