Rooibos is indigenous to the Cederberg region of Western Cape of South Africa. It is the only place that it is grown in the world. This small leguminous shrub has needle like leaves and fine stems with tiny yellow flowers. It thrives in the winter rainfall areas and sandy soil of the slopes of the Cedarberg mountain range.
This herbal tea has many health benefits! It is caffeine free low in tannin, and very rich in antioxidants. It contains no additives, preservatives or colorants.The mineral found in Rooibos are Potassium, Calcium,Magnesium, Sodium, Copper, Zinc, manganese Iron and flouride. Our Rooibos is also organic.Rooibos has anti-spasmodic properties which means those with weak digestion can easily enjoy this tea. Prepare Rooibos as you would any other loose tea, but the difference with this tea is , the longer you allow it to steep the more anti-oxidants are released into the tea. Steep up to 20 minutes.
