A Natural Approach To Healthy LivingBy Lucinda Jenkins HCLPNSlimmer You!
The answer is our Genmaicha tea mixture "A Slimmer Me Tea".... but read on
I am sure that I can safely assume that a few have made a New Year's Resolution to lose weight. I have done some research and have found some natural ways to lose weight as well as some interesting tidbits about diets, eating habits, herbs and foods. Consider some of these hints to go along with the dieting regime that you have choosen.
Drink 6-8 glasses of water or herbal teas daily. I lost about 25 pounds drinking my special Genmaicha Tea Mix . I would make this green tea mixture like ice tea and drink it with my meals. While doing this research for this article I found that this Green Tea mixture does have a thermogenic action.
I'm not the only person to experience such great results with this tea mixture! Read this testimonial from a customer:
From Kathrine
I went through a weight problem two years ago. There were two things that
really helped me
the fist one was a reply that said you have to burn more calories than you
take in period.
and the second one was a tea that I drank four times a day that I got from Glenbrook Farms Herbs and Such
Best regards,
and 40 lbs lighter!!
Kathrine
The American Cancer Society has found that people who drink diet sodas or use artifical sweeteners tend to gain weight, not lose weight. These synethic compounds seem to increase the appetite and slow down digestion. Try the natural "Stevia Herbal All-Natural Sweetener"
Muscle is more metabolically active than fat. Each pound of lean tissue you add means you burn an extra 35 calories a day whether you are sitting, sleeping or watching tv.
The Department of Agriculture did a study in 1994 that showed the trace mineral boron helped to speed up metabolism. Raisins and onion are a good source of boron.
Taking 250mg. gamma-linolenic acid known as GLA helps to control appetite. Good sources of GLA are borage oil, flaxseed oil, black current seed oil, and primrose oil.
Don't chew gum. The brain thinks you are eating and will get the digestive juices flowing and this will make you feel hungry.
Always eat breakfast. This will jump-start the metabolism. Eat small, but nutrient-packed meals every 3-4 hours. This will keep the metabolism steady and not on wild swings (which can cause you to go on an overeating rampage). They say insanity is doing the same thing over and over, but expecting different results. If you want to lose weight then you will have to change your eating habits.
Astragalus increases energy safely and improves nutrient absorption.
These herbs have a diuretic action ( helps to rid the body of excess water) Alfalfa corn silk dandelion hyssop oat straw parsley(that pretty green stuff on your plate..eat it!) thyme yarrow
Fennel and red clover are natural appetite suppressants.
Studies are showing Vit.C and bioflavonoids to speed up a slow metabolism and causing the body to burn more calories.
Studies show that the metabolism stays elevated for 15 hours after high-intensity strength training.
Whatever way you choose to lose weight, just realize that it didn't appear overnight and it will take a while to come off, but stay determined and focused. Find a buddy who will keep you encouraged. You have made so many commitments to others ( bankers, home mortages, your job, kids college fund, car payment), this time make a commitment to your wonderful self. Try for the next 4 months to get a more healthy lifestyle and to lose those extra pounds.
"YOU LOOK MARVELOUS!" sounds wonderful ....yeah!
