A Natural Approach To Healthy LivingBy Debbye Harmon You Can Turn Back the Hands Of Time!!
That youthful glow seemed indestructible. No matter how few hours of sleep
you had or how rushed and stressed your day was, it was still there in the
evening for that very exciting date. It literally glowed with that dewy
youthfulness, and beauty took little to no effort. Your wedding photos
show a pretty bride, and even the hospital photos after the first baby
reveal a lovely and happy new, YOUNG mom.
Perhaps more children happened, and/or a demanding career. Maybe you
suffered a hurtful divorce, a difficult stepchild, or had to find or start
a new career. Or you might be reaping the benefits of a long-lasting
marriage, but it took work. Lots of work. Whatever paths you've walked in
your life up to now, a number of years have passed since that youthful
freshness. You're 40-something, and you take stock.
Today, you look in the mirror and you realize that what had seemed durable
is, after all, fallible. You feel betrayed. Age has kicked in and your
facial skin has let you down. Or. . .has it? Could it be that you let
your skin down?
There are actually a number of things you can do to revitalize your skin,
and you might be surprised to learn that this does not entail a visit to
the plastic surgeon. It does mean taking an honest look at how you live,
daily habits that might be harmful, and what you eat. I know you've heard
it many times, but diet and exercise play such a vital role in your overall
health, and that includes the health of your skin! Eat healthy foods and
find an exercise regime that you truly enjoy. This can be a workout at the
gym for some, or long evening walks with husband or the family dog for
others. Some might enjoy a dance class, while yoga would be so rewarding
for others.
Feed your body well, inside and out. Essential oils play a strong role
here. They eliminate toxins and bacteria, stimulate skin cells, and
contain proteins and nutrients that refresh and bring back a glow of health
that skin was meant to have. Your skin is an organ. As you feed healthy
foods to your insides, do the same for your all-important outside. Nourish
it with nature's gifts just as you do when you eat a meal. You won't look
21 anymore. You aren't supposed to. Even so, your skin can and should
exhibit a radiance that says you are beautiful today, and all the
tomorrows.
Make your own anti-wrinkle oil with nature's bounty, and within two to four
weeks, you will see your skin begin to have new life. Your beauty will be
healthy and natural, as opposed to that artificial look that doesn't do
well in a strong light. You will need 2 tablespoons of almond oil as your
base, or you can use hazelnut. To that, add the following essential oils:
10 drops each Evening Primrose, Lavender, Frankincense, Fennel, Carrot.
The final two oils are 3 drops lemon and 2 drops Rosemary. Store in a
clean jar and gently feed and massage your face and neck with this rich oil
mixture every night. While this formula works especially well for women in
their 40's, there are others for each age group. It isn't too early to
start if you are in your 20's!
Remember, you are of nature. You were not concocted in a laboratory.
Nature has bountiful answers for you and offers beauty that just can't come
from a lab!
