About Dick Jenkins

Dick Jenkins on Kelso

I'm glad you're interested! My name is Dick Jenkins and I have been in the horse business for over forty years and have been fortunate enough to associate with some of the best horses in the racing business.

I worked for Mrs. Richard Dupont for 22 years where I had the opportunity to break racing legend, Kelso. I exercised Kelso every day of his racing career and was also the assistant stallion manager at Gainsway Farm in Lexington, Kentucky.

Keeping watch over $180 million worth of stallions tends to put a few gray hairs on your head, and yes, I have hair left on my head!

I have transported horses worth over a million dollars, and watched over horses worth one hundred dollars. I give the same attention to all, no matter what they are worth. Every horse deserves a safe and comfortable ride which is one reason my transportation business has been so successful.

I believe that if you are in this business you should know how to properly handle a horse, and I will guarantee that your horse will be provided water and physically checked every two hours.

A closed circuit monitor is installed in our trailer so that I can see what your horse is doing while enroute. No ugly surprises!

If I can be of service to you then give my wife and me a call or e-mail us. Call or e-mail us anyway. I would love to talk about Kelso with you, and my wife just likes to talk horses! Here's the number (904)362-6903.
